[californiadisasters] On This Date In CA Epidemiological History (December 15)
From the pages of the Redding Record-Searchlight 100 years ago today:
1912: Albert Daily had smallpox and his home near the foothills west of Anderson flew the yellow flag of quarantine.
Dr. Tabker, health officer, was confident the contagion would not spread.
He succeeded in stamping out diphtheria, two cases of which came to the surface in Anderson a week prior.
