07/27/2014	0830	El Portal Fire, CA-YNP-0083 Yosemite National Park, Mariposa Co. 2100 Acres, 5% Contained CIIMT Team 5 (Joseph) will take command of the fire at 1800 hours today. 2,100 Acres, 5% contained. 1,900 acres on the Stanislaus National Forest and 200 acres on Yosemite National Park. Rapid Rate of Spread, Spotting ½ mile, extreme fire behavior observed. Structure defense and evacuations underway. Merced Grove of Giant Sequoias threatened. The VLAT is being shared by North and South Ops. State Highway 120 Closed.
