Thanks, I put it on the list for my next Amazon order (gee, that is a dangerous site).  $6.99  Still available in VHS too ($4.99)!  ;o)  It'll wait (not long) until I add enough to get free shipping.

Ah Stockton, a city (four letter word) with crime, gangs, REALLY poor highways and traffic.  But: TWO Sonic Drive-ins (ok, one is in Lathrop) so you are redeemed!  ;o)  A double bacon cheeseburger, a large onion rings, 42 oz slush, THAT is road food.  But with that load, you have to struggle to stay awake (add chocolate to go with the cranberry slush).  The slush lasts until San Diego, good thing there are other required stops along the way.  ;o)

I have" A River Runs Through It" also.  I agree with you, but the book is even better, as are the other 2 stories in the same book.  USFS 1919: The Ranger, the Cook, and a Hole in the Sky, from thebook was also made in to a movie, with Sam Elliot playing the ranger.
