On This Date In California Weather History...
2006: Highway 140 near El Portal was buried by a massive landslide near El Portal that was 600 feet wide, 600 feet long, and 300 feet deep.
1996: A funnel cloud was observed ten miles west of Lindbergh Field - San Diego.
1896: It was 98° in San Diego, the highest temperature on record for May.
