Re: [californiadisasters] Kern County Road affected

I expect it to get worse; the Low center is coming ashore just north of
Point Conception, meaning unstable conditions except that east and south of
it will be not so terrible.

Wind and bursts of rain affected the last three or so hours of the T of R
Post Parade (float viewing).

Nowhere near as bad as you report, though.

80 mph winds and snow hve closed the Grapevine section of the 5 freeway.
The Canyon section of highway 178 is closed due to landslides. Highway 178
thru Walker Pass - chains required. Highway 155 thru Alta Sierra - chains
required.
