Quite sure yesterdays Yahoo issue...which I also had and affected my Outlook mail on Yahoo servers...was due to some lack planning or failure of a plan while switching over to the new Home Page interface that I started seeing at that time. 

Killed my Outlook mail for several hours, giving me dozens of repeated password requests till I shut it off.  

I may be wrong, but it seems Yahoo is prone whenever they make a big change.
