| 10/11 | 1600 | The National Weather Service in Oxnard issued a urban and small stream flood advisory for Southern and central Los Angeles County and Southern and Central Ventura county in southwest California until 1730 hrs pdt tonight. Doppler radar indicated scattered thunderstorms across much of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.
Rainfall rates with these storms have generally ranged between one quarter and three quarters of an inch. Local rates over one inch per hour have been observed over portions of central Los Angeles County where a flash flood warning remains in effect. The heavy downpours from these thunderstorms may bring roadway flooding during the afternoon rush hour across portions of Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Some lighting has been detected across the GACC with most of it wet. |
