The Fashion Show is today at lunch in the PAC. It is $1 to see all the best dressed strut their stuff down the runway! We will see you there!

CONVERGE would like to invite you to our student led Bible study this Tuesday on september 18, 2012.  It will be held in room F211. Would like to see you there!

There is an Italian Honor Society meeting in  F225 today at lunch.

Attention Seniors:  If you would like help preparing for the make-up SBA test in October, don't forget that tutoring sessions are being held at lunch and after school Tuesday-Thursday.  Meet in A210 at the beginning of lunch or after school.

Volcano Vista is developing a Student Ambassador program.  Invitations are going out all week this week.  If you receive an invitation, you need to complete some questions and sign the form along with your parent/guardian.  You can then turn in to the 9th Grade office by Friday, September 14 at 3PM.

The Hispanic Leadership Outreach Committee at Sandia National Laboratories is partnering with Kirtland Air Force Base, NNSA Sandia Site Office and NNSA ABQ Complex to sponsor its Annual Youth Art Contest in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15th – October 15th). This youth art contest is open to all students.  The theme is, "Our People, Our Legacy." For more information stop by the activities office.

ATHLETICS:                   

• All girls interested in playing softball: there is a meeting during lunch in the gym today.
• Students interested in trying out for the Golf Team this year need to pick up a flyer in the 9th Grade/Athletics office.  Tryouts are Sept. 17th, and you must contact Coach Cota before you will be allowed to tryout.  All of the information related to tryouts is on the flyer.  So if you plan to tryout for the Golf Team, pick up the flyer in the 9th Grade/Athletics office and contact Coach Cota ASAP!!
• The volleyball metro tournament begins this afternoon here at VV.
• Girls soccer plays Piedra Vista here at 3:30 on Friday.
• Football plays Sandia at 7pm at Wilson Stadium, Friday night. We will be on the visitor side- which is the east side.
• Boys soccer plays Piedra Vista on Saturday at 2 in Farmington.
• Cross Country has a meet this weekend at Atrisco Heritage beginning at 9
