It is Spirit Week in honor of HOMECOMING!
- Wednesday is Spirit Day. Wear "Hawks" clothing. There will be a carnival from 4pm to 6pm. There is no charge for entrance but there will be plenty of games to play so bring your cash! The 3rd Annual Powder Puff Football game will begin at 6:15pm in the gym. Tickets will be on sale for $5.00 at the carnival.
- Thursday is MONO-color day or 1 color day
- Friday is dress up day. We will be on a long assembly schedule for Coronation.
Please remember you must be in dress code each day.
Congratulations to this week's students that were recognized for demonstrating the core values of our school Safety, Organization, Achievement and Respect. Way to SOAR! Also, remember you can turn in SOAR cards for merchandise every Friday at the SOAR store in H Hall near DECA Store. This week's winners receive Homecoming Tickets or Hawk Spirit Wear. The following are the six students that were randomly drawn for our weekly prize:

Operation Smile will meet TODAY, Tuesday in A101 during lunch! We have lots to do so all members need to attend!!!
The Homecoming Dance is on Saturday in the gym from 8pm-11pm. The dance is a semi formal event. NO Jeans or tennis-shoes. You must have your current VVHS ID and ticket to get into the dance and if you are bringing a guest they must have an ID with them also.
Homecoming tickets are on sale for $20.00/ticket in the activities office during lunch today and tomorrow. Ticket prices increase to $25.00 on Wednesday. You must have your current VVHS student ID to purchase a ticket. If you are bringing a guest you must have a permission slip filled out. Guests should be between the ages of 14 and 20 years old. No middle school students may attend.
MESA members...don't forget...we need a six pack of Pepsi product or Aquafina water...you can drop them off with Ms. Conell in room F103...I am also bringing blow-pops to make the ring toss more appealing...win a drink and a blow-pop!.. drop the drinks off early (Monday or Tuesday). JUNIORS! Do you want help paying for college? Do you want to stand apart from other applicants in the college admission process? Qualify for the National Merit Scholarship by taking the PSAT/NMSQT. You took the PSAT as 10th graders, sign up to take it again as a junior and you could qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. The cost is $15 payable to VVHS. See Mrs. Futey in E224 to sign up by October 5th.
