Attention all Newspaper Staff — This includes editors, writers, and photographers — There will be a lunch meeting today in the Newspaper Lab, room E116. Editors will be handing out copy-edited versions of your stories. Attendance is mandatory. Lunch will be provided.
Coach Hampel with our very own VVHS Bowling team is very happy with the performance of all teams this past Saturday. Bowlers performed well above their practice games and as result 3 of the rookie teams were all re-rated to the next level of competition. The Intermediate team finished exactly in the middle of seven teams competing. Justin Baca - Maryn Gray and Victor Lara-Reyes were all acknowledged for their ALL-STAR performance for Volcano Vista. Next tournament goes on Saturday at Holiday Lanes at 8:30 a.m. and Coach hopes that 4 or 5 teams will be out competing.
MESA, the math and science club will meet in Mrs. Bitner's room today, room H207 at lunch. Note this is a change from our regular meeting place.
There will be a meeting of the Safe School Ambassador students today during lunch in the Lecture Hall!
If you have earned a 3.14 cumulative GPA in Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra 2, Honors Pre-Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB or AP Calculus BC you are invited to join Mu Alpha Theta, VVHS's new math honor society. Pick up an application from any senior math teacher and return to Ms. Conell in room F103 or Mrs. Leger in room E205 before this Friday November 9.

Athletics:
- This weekend is the NMAA state competition for soccer and cross country. Stay tuned for play dates and times.
- Attention all Cross Country team members, please stop by Coach Gilmore's room, F212, before the end of the day on Friday in order to vote on team awards and receive end of the season information.
- The girls soccer team will play at the soccer complex tomorrow at 3:15.
- The boys will be playing at 8:15 tomorrow night at the soccer complex.
- Football plays Cibola tomorrow night at 7 at Milne. We are the visiting team.
- Volleyball will play at Rio Rancho today at 6:30.
