OPEN MIKE NIGHT IS HERE!  Creative Writing is again proud to present and host Open Mic Night.  The evening of poetry, prose, and music is scheduled for tonight at 6:00 in the Black Box Theater.  The admission fee is only $1.00!  Sign-up sheets for performers are located in Ms. Valdez's room F210 and Ms. Montoya's room H219 and performers get in free.  All are welcome to attend this great event and spend an evening in awe of the amazing talent we have at our school while you kick back, have a cup of coffee, and maybe a slice of pizza or a cookie.  See you tonight at 6!

We are having a Thanksgiving can food drive. Students and faculty may donate to their favorite Volcano club or organization. The group that donates the most items will win a pizza party. All cans are due to the Activities Office on Monday, November 19th.

Our 3rd annual Hawk Idol will take place on November 30th. Sign-ups are all next week in the activities office during lunch. We are looking for singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, jugglers, air bands, gangnam style impersonators, etc. Get creative and join the fun. Teachers you can be a part of this also. We know how goofy some of you can be.

A friendly reminder that CNM's spring 2013 schedule is available online at www.cnm.edu.  Returning Dual Credit students can log into their myCNM account  - click on the Registration / Grades tab to see their registration date and time.   Nov. 26th is when all students can register.  See your Academy Counselor if you have more question about Dual Credit.

Weekend Events:

• The Bowling team has a tournament on Saturday at Holiday Lanes at 8:30 AM.
• Our band will participate in the Duke City Drum Off at Cibola on Saturday. They perform at 10 AM.
• Girls Soccer defeated the Cougars last night and will play the Eldorado Eagles at 2:30 in the semi finals at the soccer complex TODAY (November 9). TICKETS: Cash ONLY accepted onsite.

 $5.00 (Students/ Seniors).
• State Cross country is tomorrow at Rio Rancho. The boys run at 11:00 AM and the girls run at 2:00 PM.
