Ranch Fire, CA-SQF-002142, Kern County Update

Fire is located South of Red Mountain in the Greenhorn Mountains

10 miles West of Lake Isabella

Jurisdiction: FRA

Coopers Type 2 IMT in command.

70 acres, 60% contained
Crews are hot spotting and cold trailing the their way around the fire.

Heavy demobilization of personnel, equipment and aircraft occurred

today with more anticipated for tomorrow.

Tentative Transition of the incident back to the district is scheduled for 7/9/14

Another IR flight has been ordered for tonight.

Wakoski's Type 2 IMT is staging at McClellan and will be available regionally

for the next incident in Northern or Southern California.

A Forest order is in place closing the area surrounding the fire area.  
The demobilization of resources has begun and will continue to increase.

 A fire suppression repair plan has been completed and the work will begin on 7/7/14.
