Rick, et al,

I spend four days a week existing in a pervasive cloud of 20-something estrogen and progesterone... am still adjusting to it and the visual stimulation attendant unto it... please don't get me started about "Poly Dollies".
However, I am still celibate therefore so-far-so-good on the behaving like an adult and being a gentleman part of the deal.
However, I am thoroughly enjoying being in the cloud four days a week and the aforementioned visual stimulation attendant unto it.

Poly Royal was nuked following the Poly Royal Riots of 1990 thank to all the Chico State students showing up. We still have WOW (Week of Welcome) though.
I did not attend it as it seemed to me that would be creepy, what with a 44 year-old guy showing up and being a resident of the area not really needing any orientation along with the noob kids.
I will have to look into this Halloween Parade you mention and Homecoming is coming up I believe unless I missed it.
Our homecoming should be hosted by a local bail bond company given the arrests of football players last month. However, the team is good this year despite losing some guys to the legal system. You can take the guy out of the ghetto but you can't get the ghetto out of the guy it appears.
I tend to miss campus activities like the Rose Parade Float thing as I had planned on being part of this Fall due to living up in Paso and commuting down with a carpool.
Will keep y'all posted on any relevant developments.

Soon you'll have the annual Halloween parade (occasional with some riot police), Poly Royal, Homecoming, the football season is rolling along and remember to take it easy on the co-eds, they're HALF your age at least college boy.

There's a couple GREAT restaurants downtown, but they're not cheap.

I have been a bit AWOL of late, especially with the On This Date In California Weather History column. My first quarter at Cal Poly with 15 units has been a bit crushing of late and school is the priority. I plan to get California Disasters in all its incarnations caught up this week I assure you and will try harder to not get behind in the future.
