Initial Attack Activity was light in the GACC yesterday with 22 fires for 3 acres reported in the Daily Situation Report, (there may be a 24-hour delay in reporting on the SIT report).

There are currently no large fires burning in the GACC.

Indices averaged for the GACC: burning index (BI) is 37; 1000 hour fuels calculated at 14%; ERC is 39.

For the most part, North Ops will remain dry and seasonably mild over the next 7 days. However, a weakening weather systems affecting northern areas, late Sunday/early Monday. Only light rain, if any occurs, is expected with that system, and most of that will be over the northwestern corner of North Ops or along the Oregon border. A high pressure ridge will return early next week and linger, keeping conditions dry with temps near season normals. Moderately strong, gusty north to east winds are expected Monday and will last into early Tuesday. These winds will bring about some low RH/poor overnight RH recovery to locations usually favored by this pattern. Because fuels are only moderately dry and the wind event should be short lived, "High Risk" conditions are not expected to develop in the areas most favored by this pattern.
