Initial Attack Activity was light in the GACC yesterday with 25 fires for 18 acres reported in the Daily Situation Report, (there may be a 24-hour delay in reporting on the SIT report).

A low pressure system will be moving across North Ops for the next few days. The northern portions will see much less precip if any at all out of this system with the best chances of rain south of a line from about Point Arena to Susanville Sunday into Monday. There will also be a chance of afternoon/evening thunderstorms over the eastern mountains of that area Monday. Drying will begin in the northern areas Monday as higher pressure returns there as the low moves south, but north and off shore winds that will develop from that pattern change will be rather light, so the biggest effect will be the drying conditions. Warmer, drier conditions will be in place in all areas mid week. Another series of weather systems is expected to approach the coast late in the week, likely with precip by late next weekend.
