THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEDFORD HAS ISSUED A FIRE WEATHER WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING. * AFFECTED AREA: FIRE WEATHER ZONES 285 AND 280 IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA * THUNDERSTORMS...THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP EARLY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON WITH LIGHTNING COVERAGE INCREASING TO SCATTERED OR MORE TOWARD WEDNESDAY EVENING. THE FIRST AREA TO BE AFFECTED IS ZONE 280 IN WESTERN SISKIYOU COUNTY WITH THE STORMS MOVING ACROSS SISKIYOU COUNTY INTO SOUTHERN OREGON. ANOTHER STORMS WILL BE ACROSS NORTHEAST CALIFORNIA...OVER THE WARNERS AND MODOC COUNTY. THE STORMS COULD CONTINUE INTO THE NIGHT. * OUTFLOW WINDS...WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE. * IMPACTS...LIGHTNING STRIKES WILL INCREASE TOWARD THE EVENING HOURS.
