I personally believe that folks have been lulled into a false concept of nature via movies and film. I've seen so much bad information passed along via the movies that my jaded side appears whenever I see a scene shot in nature. Animals on wrong continents, animals getting along when no such thing in nature happens, and people overcoming odds that fall into the miraculous or the very random.
Those folks that died this year at Yellowstone and at Yosemite did not realize the cardinal rule concerning nature: nature doesn't care. Nature is indifferent and to anthropomorphize animals or places is insanity and will make you dead in a hurry. If you go into theses areas without adequate information (or common sense, even) then you will be surprised in the worst way.

Kate,
In light of your comment you'll like this:
"Von Braun's interest in rockets was specifically for the application of space travel, which led him to say on hearing the news from London: "The rocket worked perfectly except for landing on the wrong planet." He described it as his "darkest day".[citation needed] However, satirist Mort Sahl is often credited with mocking von Braun with the paraphrase "I aim at the stars, but sometimes I hit London".[27]
