Just heard on KCAL9, a Santa Ana event is due for next Wednesday for southern California. Will have to keep on eye on this. End of October is traditionally "thee" time for you know whats.

AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF WARM WEATHER...ATTENTION WILL TURN TO A
POTENTIAL OFFSHORE WIND EVENT STARTING MONDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUING
INTO EARLY THURSDAY. ALTHOUGH THIS IS STILL A FEW DAYS DOWN THE ROAD
THERE IS GROWING CONFIDENCE THAT THE SAN FRANCISCO AND MONTEREY
BAY REGION WILL SEE DRY OFFSHORE WINDS IN INCREASING STRENGTH
DURING THIS PERIOD. IF THIS VERIFIES...FIRE DANGER WILL BE
GREATLY ELEVATED. PERSONS WITH FIRE WEATHER INTERESTS SHOULD
CLOSELY MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.
