NONONO.... St. Peter's bones are buried there beneath the Holy See and also it is ithe site of Nero's Circus before the Vatican was ever thought of. Go blow up some other spot but not the Vatican. There is way too much history there ...the Holy See's library alone is worth preserving. I am Catholic too and am first to agree that the Church has a lot to answer for but as history buffs alone you should not want to destroy the Vatican. Plus all the art... just no, ok. Allison

Unfortunately, none of the volcanoes of Italy would affect Vatican City, even at their worst. I'm a Catholic, but I, too, have many issues with the Holy See, some of which you pointed out. Perhaps we can wish for a hot spot to develop beneath that location. You never know. lol

Whats left of a shaken Catholic Church then amends for their historic sins of looting the nations by paying off the national debt of Greece , Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Great Britain saving the world.
