A mild Santa Ana Wind condition existed in parts of Southern California this morning which pushed this fire which is now pretty much out.

UPDATE - Happy Camp Fire - firefighters have done an amazing job of stopping the forward progress of the fire near Moorpark. There is extensive work that needs to be done to ensure the fire is completely out, but both helicopters and some of the structure protection engines have been released from the fire. There have been no injuries and no structures were damaged. 0820

UPDATE - Happy Camp Fire - Firefighters are making excellent progress on the fire. Until the helicopters can fly the fire in the daylight, we are still calling the size 50 acres. Winds in the area remain strong. Resources are being concentrated on the western edge of the fire where it is most active. Two dozers are assisting in the effort and the helicopters will start water drops as soon as it is safe. More than 75 personnel are on scene. No injuries. No structures damaged. 0545

UPDATE - Happy Camp Fire - The fire near Moorpark is now being reported at 50 acres and holding. Water drops will begin at first light. Firefighters are actively working the fire and structure protection is in place as a cautionary measure. No structures are in danger at this time. There are no evacuations and no hard road closures. 0425

VCFD units are currently on scene of a brush fire near Happy Camp Canyon Rd. near Moorpark. The fire is currently at about 30 acres. There are more than 60 firefighters working the fire and two helicopters have been ordered. There are no evacuations at this time. 0400
