Roger, Congrats and Kudos to you!
You have done what I only dream to do and that is to obtain a BS in Geology. I admire your tenacity, courage, and perseverance. Never stop learning... buy more books... be proactive in the geoscience community. We need folks like you in this branch of study and we are very grateful to have you as a member here.
Huzzah and Hooray!

PS Thanks for the compliments. On behalf of the Geo2 Mods, we appreciate your generous observations. :-)
Hi Group
A proud moment for me this morning that I would like to share with everyone in the world. Geology and geophysics in particular has been my hobby and interest for some time. I am 69 and have been studying at university as a distant learner (part time at home) with the Open University (very prominent in the Uk )for some time. I am also partly disabled so field trips are out. I obtained my Diploma in Geoscience some time ago and this morning I received notification that I have now been awarded a BSc (Batchelor of Science) degree. It is not an honours but is an open science degree in predominantly Geophysics. A very proud moment for me and the family. My son said what you going to do now dad and I said put my books away. But I am not cos I love using them for reference. So now I continue to relax and end enjoy this site. Going to my Geo club tonight and if the lecture is interesting I main even put the info on here. Thanks for your time and please keep up the good work
