Well this was really interesting. Very few of these gems had a happy history...mostly they are a testament to man's greed. Beautiful though... and the best place for gems like these is in a musuem. It's unfortunate that it almost seems like great beauty whether in a gem, man , or woman, attracts so much bad luck. Or perhaps great beauty in a person somehow restricts the focus on character building. I dunno... but a big gem almost certainly brings out the worst in human behavior, and it doesn't take much in our species unfortunately. Allison
