08/03/2012		CA-KNF Dillon Fire. Estimated cumalitive acreage is 150 acres and 5% contained. NorCal Team 1 (Whitcome) will assume command tomorrow 8/4/12 at 1800.
08/03/2012	1825	CA-PNF Chips Fire. 4,852 acres, 5% contained. Gansner Bar, North Fork, and Queen Lily USFS campgrounds and USFS road 27N76 remain closed. Community of Belden and Little Haven, and Maggies Trailer Park are on precautionary evacuation notice. Three mile long one lane traffic control along State Highway 70 has been shortened to one mile and remains in place due to fire spread towards highway. Portions of the Pacific Crest, Yellow Creek, Ben Lomond, and Indian Creek hiking trails remain closed.
08/03/2012	1815	CA-SHF Salt Creek Fire. 900 acres, 70% contained. The precautionary evacuations that were in place have been lifted. Evacuations are still in effect for Lakeview Estates. Gilman Roads closure remains in place. Direct handline construction is completed in Divisions Y and Z. Crews continue to secure the fire perimeter in all Divisions with line improvement, mopping up to 100 feet and patroling.

08/03/2012	1545	CA-KNF Dillon Fire. 23 confirmed starts along Highway 96 split between the Klamath and Six Rivers National Forests. The cumulative fire size on the Six Rivers side is approximately 25 acres; the total size on the Klamath is approximately 120 acres. NorCal Team 1 (Whitcome) has been ordered and will in-brief at 1800 tonight.
08/03/2012	1310	CA-KNF Dillon Fire. 50 acres, 0% contained. Located off of Hwy 96 near Dillon Creek Campground.
08/03/2012	0700	CA-SHF Salt Creek Fire. 900 acres, 30% contained. Last night's fire behavior had moderate rates of spread with slope-driven runs and isolated torching in areas of continuous ladder fuels. NorCal Team 2 (Molhoek) is assigned.
08/03/2012	0700	CA-PNF Chips Fire. 4,352 acres, 5% contained. Early evening fire activity was moderate, with decreasing fire behavior throughout the night. CA IMT 1 (McGowan) assumed command of the fire at 0600 this morning.
