Could it be the two eyes, blunt nose, mouth slit, (a balanced face) on the left side of the photo of that former reptile?
No that can't be a fossil, can it be with out more clues?

Only thing I know right now is that it has "unusual weight"..I have asked for more information and pictures of the other side and maybe the ends...looks looks a fossil to me, but I am not sure...here is a link to the picture
