1999: A wind gust of 60 mph was reported at Palm Springs.
1998: Santa Ana winds started on 12.9 and ended on this day.
Gusts reached 101 mph at Modjeska Canyon, 93 mph at Fremont Canyon, 52 mph in Santa Ana, 83 mph in Ontario.
Trees and power lines were downed, vehicles overturned, and damage was done to property.

The winds caused considerable damage to the outdoor Christmas decorations in Fresno's central business area "ruining them for the season".
Two men sleeping outdoors were killed in Hanford when a tree fell on them.
Fresno recorded 43 mph sustained winds, highest ever on record for the month of December.
1943: 3.80" of rain fell in Palm Springs, the third greatest daily amount on record, and the greatest daily amount on record for December.
2.56" of rain fell at San Diego, the eighth greatest daily amount on record, and the second greatest daily amount on record for December.
1931: 16" of snow fell at Tahoe City.
