[californiadisasters] What Happened This Year At The American Geophysical Union In SF?

Since 1989 following the Loma Prieta Earthquake I have always looked forward to and enjoyed the offerings from the American Geophysical Union annual meeting in San Francisco in early December. Most years it seems there is a wealth of new peer-reviewed studies released there to the world regarding earthquakes and other geo-hazards. This is usually well-covered by the San Francisco Chronicle by their 90-year-old legendary science reporter David Perlman and yet nothing this year from him or anybody else at the Chron or anywhere else it seems. Did I miss something or was there nothing interesting revealed there? Did anybody here attend the conference?
