CA-TNF American Fire: 24,135 acres, 78% contained. Expected containment 09/01/2013. IMT 1 (Opliger). No appreciable fire activity on the south, southwest and west portion of the fire. In north portion of the fire, occasional smoldering pockets interior from fire line. On the east portion of the fire, there active surface fire with smoldering and consumption of heavy (1000 hour) fuels - active backing and flanking fire with active surface fire with occasional single tree torching.

CA-SRF Corral Complex: 11,247 acres, 0% contained. Unified Command Joseph/Mendes. Expected containment 10/01/2013. There was a thunderstorm, with a few lightning strikes, and light rain that moved through the area last night. The rain moderated the fire behavior, especially in the southern portion of the fire. The fire continued to creep and back through the night. Southwest portion of the fire-continue construction and improvement of indirect dozer line. West portion of the fire -coordinate with Hoopa resources to continue construction and improvement of the contingency line. North-continue hand line construction from Bear Hole to Bret Corral in preparation for a firing operation. South portion of the fire - continue to improve roads and remove hazardous snags. Contingency Group is scouting the southwestern portion of the fire for potential locations for contingency line construction to protect the Hoopa Indian Reservation and pre-plan for structure protection in the surrounding communities

CA-TGU Deer Fire: 10,270 acres, 21% contained. Expected containment 08/30/2013. CAL FIRE Team 2 Cone. The fire is located 10 miles east of Los Molinos.Fire behavior pushed the fire into the Mill Creek and Big Dry Creek drainages and the Ishi Wilderness. Fire continues to burn under 500kv power lines serving 15 Western states. Hand line construction has been direct when possible. Fire has crossed Big Dry Creek and is currently South of Mill Creek. Establish direct hand lines along the East side of the fire through the Ishi Wilderness and North to Mill Creek to prevent further spread to the North and East.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 20,770 acres, 39% contained. Expected containment 09/15/2013. IMT 1 (Quesinberry). Burn operations in the early portion of the operational period were successful. A moist front moving into the fire area kept fire behavior limited to creeping and smoldering in the latter half of the period. Good progress was made on the west side of the fire south of Orleans Mountain Lookout to secure the line with ground and aerial ignition operations. A Forest issued area closure is in effect that incorporates the fire. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the fire area for possible thunderstorm activity through 1700 8/25.

CA-PNF Hough Fire: 513 acres, 100% contained. IMT 2 (Nunez). All 21 fires have been contained but patrol, mop-up and rehab continue over a wide area. Crews also continue to respond to initial attack reports in the district.

CA-KNF Salmon River Complex: 14,547 acres, 95% contained. IMT 2 (Wakoski). Mop up, patrol, and hold hand lines. Structure defense will continue around the community of Sawyers Bar, including daily sprinkler system maintenance and testing. Continue fire suppression damage repair. Red Flag Warning in effect until 1700 hours Sunday for abundant Lightning with dry fuels.
