Well I understand. It takes me a while to unwind sometimes too. I get cranky for the same reason though. However, I was trying to make a point of my own and not for argumentative reasons. Also I never thought you were drunk. lol.. Allison

Allison,

I was at a party until 11 p.m. and it takes a while for me to unwind after I have had that much to eat and drink and no I was not drunk. In the meantime, what gets me cranky is when peeps seem to miss my point on purpose in order to be argumentative for the sake of being argumentative. If that was not what happened then I beg your pardon.

Your not being an expert on any of this stuff is not germane to the question of is an expert and expert and is a geologist playing weekend climatologist make him as qualified to speak on the topic of climate as a professional climatologist?

A geologist is no more an expert on climate than a climatologist is an expert on geology.

I am curious about where the number comes from saying the average temperature has went down, because I don't recall seeing that anywhere reliable. I have seen it quoted in anti global warming literature but not sure where it originated. I have also seen his argument quoted by people that believe global warming is a hoax and have many conspiracy theories relating to global warming.

I wish I had more time to comment, but I feel his ideas are a little out there and away from main stream science. But I do understand where he is coming from. There are cycles of warming and cooling and we aren't the only sources of CO2 in the atmosphere.
