Wow, this thread is one of the greatest discussions that show the need for basic research, especially in geochemistry
. Compound and stable isotope analysis of the ice cores from Antarctica are just one method where we can compare CO2 and temperature (oxygen isotope measurements) and correlate with time. As has been pointed out by many, the actual data are miniscule in quantity; and saying that the results are ..... without replicable data is like saying that the "climate is peachy keen." Keep you minds open, and remember that the data will tell us a lot, once we get it.
