CA-SRF Corral Complex: 12,272 acres, 67% contained. Expected containment 09/10/2013. Pincha-Tulley /Mendes, Unified Command
The fire was smoldering and creeping with rolling material still a concern. The fire was most active in the western portion and on Tish Tang Point. Open flame observed from heavy dead logs within the interior. Helicopters were used to help cool heat close to the line. Direct line construction continued in all appropriate areas of divisions F, L, M, and R. The fire was most active in the western portion.

CA-KNF Forks Complex: 35,892 acres, 55% contained. Expected containment 09/15/2013. Johnson, NORCAL 2
Fire spread will continue to be minimal as a low pressure brings increased humidity and light winds that will not mix down or otherwise affect the areas of isolated heat. The moisture brought in on this system has brought cloud cover and will provide a substantial overnight humidity recovery reducing spread potential in Division W, China, Granite, and Butler creek drainages. Light and sporadic showers are forecasted to enter the area further reducing spread and spot potential. It is expected that the fire will have minimal smoldering, isolated to pockets with heavy fuel accumulations and no progression until fuels dry from this moist pattern. No movement of fire outside of the control lines is anticipated.

Light inital attack reported today in the GACC.

CA-SRF Corral Complex: 12,272 acres, 56% contained. Expected containment 09/10/2013. Pincha-Tulley /Mendes, Unified Command
The fire is expected to slowly spread towards the southwest into Horse Linto Creek and to the northwest in the South Fork of the Tish Tang Creek. There is a potential for the fire to move to the west, which would threaten the eastern boundary of the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation. Good relative humidity recovery with limited fire behavior; the fire was smoldering and creeping with rolling material still a concern. The fire was most active in the southern portion.

CA-KNF Forks Complex: 35,892 acres, 55% contained. Expected containment 09/15/2013. Johnson, NORCAL 2. Fire will continue to have minimal movement/spread. A small amount of fire growth is expected in Division G where pockets of heavy fuels continue to burn in the China and Granite Creek drainages. Smoldering and creeping is expected to continue in Granite and China Creek drainages during a shortened burn period. The fire continues to be fuels and slope driven as general winds are rarely surfacing in the drainage bottoms where most of the isolated heat remains stalled. No movement of fire outside of the control lines is anticipated. Fire behavior is expected to remain minimal due to increased fine fuel moistures due to cloud cover and higher humidity.
