Greetings Jesse,
As the owner of this list, I want to personally thank you for sharing these images. Congrats on your acceptance into a PhD program and the best of everything to you on your path to the prize at the end. I'm looking forward to seeing you post more and think you might have some pretty cool stories to share, yourself. Hmm... appears to me that you might have a nice book in the making. I hope so. I would buy it. :-)
Take care and keep 'em coming,
Lin

Hi guys!
I just realized you might be interested in a photoblog I just started. Basically I'm going through my personal rock collection and posting photos and information about how the rocks/minerals form. I'm currently on the fourth installment. Although I have access to a pretty good rock collection at my university, and will probably snag some photos from there as well. I've mostly just gotten emails through you guys and read all the cool stories, so many of you might not be familiar with me. I'm a PhD student in metamorphic petrology and hard rock geochemistry. This is my way of giving back to the community and sharing my passion, enjoy!
