Re: [californiadisasters] Wildland: AEU (El Dorado):King fire

Essentially anything north of Highway 50 (except Sly Park area, some S of 50 included, to Fresh Pond), West of Ice House Rd (all those campgrounds and rec area) to Mosquito Rd to Wentworth Springs is under voluntary OR mandatory evacuation notice (if voluntary, pack NOW).

Traffic is of course, a mess, but at least it lets the engines and crews get in there once the folks leave.  Large animal rescue is available at the fairgrounds.  Red Cross is providing help.  Pollock Pines schools are OPEN tomorrow (that's odd).

More evacuations, including all of the Crystal basin, all mandatory.

Also Mosquito, Onion Valley, SMUDEA and Wentworth Springs...

NOT looking good, that area is HUGE.

This is good news. AND I got to meet my old department buddies (day off
for rest on Strike Team).

VLAT 911 is making drops. I watched them leave the scene for reload and
be back in about 20 minutes... Considering just how MUCH it can hold,
that's impressive.

Picture is attached. Source Kirby Hallenback, AF6OP (a neighbor).
