Authorities say a magnitude 3.1 earthquake rattled Napa County wine country in California, but no injuries or property damage was immediately reported.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the small, shallow quake hit at 12:36 p.m. Thursday and was centered about 5 miles northeast of Sonoma and six miles from Napa.
The quake came just three months after a magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck the region on Aug. 24. It was the largest quake to hit Northern California in a quarter-century.
That quake killed one woman and injured hundreds of other people while causing about $400 million in property damage in Napa Valley.
The wine industry reported $80 million in damage, much of it because of shattered bottles and toppled barrels.
