[californiadisasters] Re: Earthquake-proof bed 'swallows' you when it senses the ground shaking



I was thinking along the very same lines. What struck me while watching the video was all it needs are hand rails on each side so they can carry you out with them. From disaster site directly to the final resting place all in one smooth easy motion. Cremation may be a bit more difficult though. No muss, no fuss and nobody gets their hands dirty in the process once extrication is completed.
Also, if the bed drops down, how the heck are you supposed to get access to the rescue supplies underneath it in limited inside space? Nice idea, but not quite well thought out.
