The City of Albuquerque BioPark is actively recruiting teens for their summer volunteer program. Interested students should attend a volunteer orientation session on Saturday, May 22, 11:00 a.m., at the BioPark (Zoo). Volunteers needed for positions listed below. Conservation Camp Counselor. Assist teachers during summer camp classes. Minimum age is 16. Training will be held Thursday, June 3, time and location to be determined. Commitment: Volunteer two successive weeks between June 7 and July 30, either morning or afternoon.
Touchpooler. Minimum age is 16. Training will be held Friday, June 4, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Aquarium. Commitment: Volunteer a minimum of 24 hours between June 7 and July 30.
Nature Guide. Minimum age is 14. Training will be held June 1 at the Zoo, and June 2 at the Aquarium (must attend both days), 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Commitment: Volunteer a minimum of 24 hours between June 7 and July 30.
