OMG!!!  This soooo reminds me of my volcano project.  I added more baking soda to the mixture after my dad put in the proper amount (I was afraid it wouldn't erupt very much).  When I poured in the vinegar (dyed red), my volcano started shaking and we had to hurry up and take it outside.  When it blew, and I do mean blew, it made such a mess and noise that the bomb squad was called in because people living behind the school thought a bomb went off.  I got an A for the project, but was forbidden to ever do another one.  LOL
