Sophomore Officers and Senate: We will meet in Mrs. Riley's room on Thursday for a lunch meeting. This is a change from our usual Wed meeting time for this week only.
NHS: Our fundraiser for this semester is our Valentines sales, and they are coming up soon. Stop by E203 to sign-up to help in order to meet your fundraising requirement for this semester. Tutoring sign-up sheets are also posted there. Remember Seniors, you have to finish your tutoring hours by April to be eligible for an honor cord.
The next SOAR drawing will be Tuesday, January 31. For the January 31 drawing, we will be giving away Winter Ball tickets. (These tickets are non-transferrable.) So make sure you SOAR this week and get your cards turned in to your academy office or the library. This week, teachers will be recognizing students that demonstrate Achievement in the classroom.
MESA, the math and science club will meet today at lunch in Ms. Conell's room F103. We will also meet after school today in Mr. G's room, G203. Everyone is welcome.
Senior Cabinet members we will be having "assembly" afternoons all this week after school in which we will be putting stuff together for Winter Ball. The more we get done in small chunks the less we have to do later. Also we need as many seniors as possible on Friday afternoon for final assemblies and more importantly, as many as possible Saturday morning. I need peoplehere no later than 9:00 AM. We will be here as long as it takes whichmeans the more we have the faster it goes.
Tickets for Winter Ball are on sale in the Activities Office during lunch for $20.00. You must have your student ID to purchase your ticket. If you are bringing a guest that does not attend VVHS please get a permission slip from the Activities Office or download the form from the Volcano Vista Hawks website. You must have the permission slip with you when you purchase your ticket. The theme for this years dance is Fire & Ice.
TEENS for JEANS: Please bring your gently worn jeans to activities and help support homeless teens. You will receive a coupon for 25% off your next pair of jeans at AEROPOSTALE.
If you have not scheduled a face to face orientation with your instructor at eCADEMY you need to see Mrs. Wells in Room F210 during the day or Room F213 after school TODAY. Also students, do not forget to check in on your assigned day after school.
ATHLETICS
- There will be a boys track meeting at lunch today in A102.
- We begin our district play TOMORROW NIGHT. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, January 31st when Boys basketball plays the Cougars in the ring of Fire. Let's Black OUT the gym.
- Our top ranked girls basketball team will play at Cibola at 7pm on Wednesday. Let's BLACK OUT the Cougars gym!
