CA-BTU Swedes: 2,139 acres, 64% contained. Estimated containment: 08/22/2013. CAL FIRE Team 1, Zombro. Burning north and east in oak/grass woodland with areas of heavy brush, moderate to steep terrain with limited access. Potential to grow to 2500-3000 acres. Potential threat to approximately 300+ structures within the community of Hurleton and approximately 1000-1200 residents.

CA-TNF American Fire: 14,822 acres, 53% contained. Estimated containment: 08/28/2013. CIMT4 Opliger. The fire continues to burn in steep and hazardous terrain, as well as receptive timber fuels that have not burned in decades. Consumption of heavy fuels continues to contribute to the heavy smoke in the surrounding area. Fire growth potential remains high due to heavy fuels and steep slopes up to 150 percent. Fire behavior continues to range from moderate to extreme. Within timber plantations, fire behavior has been moderate. Where topography and fuels align, fire behavior has been extreme.

CA-KNF Salmon River Complex: 14,171 acres, 85% contained.  Estimated containment: 08/21/2013. California IMT Team 1, McGowan. Evacuation advisory along the north side of the 1C01 (Sawyers Bar Road) including the community of Sawyers Bar and the Whites Gulch, Idlewild, and Mule Bridge campgrounds is in effect with mitigation measures in place, such as sprinkler systems and fireline pumps and hoses. Southern California IIMT 3 (Wakoski) will be assuming command tomorrow at 0600.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 16,776 acres, 30% contained. Quesinberry, NIMO. Estimated containment: 09/15/2013. A dry unstable air mass has arrived in the fire area. Incident Meteorologist and Fire Behavior Analyst have predicted increased fire behavior and possible thunderstorms which could bring erratic wind shifts and fire spread. The combination of resources timing out and an increase in fire activity/spread due to observed and forecasted weather conditions has the potential to stretch current resources beyond their capacities. Very steep terrain with snags and rolling material in hard to access areas continue to hamper the ability to construct direct and indirect line.

CA-SRF Corral Complex: 4,700 acres, 0% contained  Expected containment:  10/01/2013. Unified Command between IMT2 SOCAL 2 and Hoopa Valley Tribe. Concerns include; snags, remote wilderness location, lack of resources, and spotting 1/8 mile. Smoke impacts and fire spread west towards the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation, as well as potential easterly spread to the Shasta-Trinity NF and the community of Denny are also a concern. SoCal Team 2 continues to prepare for transition with CIIMT5 at 0600. 80% of the Hoopa Valley Tribe contingency line has been completed. 8 miles of indirect line have been completed. 19.5 miles of indirect line remain.

All of Hurleton Road, Hurles Circle, Mackey Court, Mather Lane, Hershel Lane, Roosa Way, Romelt Lane, Angel Way, Nice Place, Finlayson Court, Stringtown Road, Diamond Bar Court, Gold View Court, Gloriana Road, Harry Lane, Old Post Drive, Kim Drive, Mountain Oak Road, Empire Point Drive, Lothrop Lane, Maidu Run, Dancing Wind Drive, Summer View Drive, Rebel Lane, Elams Ranch Road, Wicks Way, Lakeview Ridge Road.

CA-TNF American Fire: 14,765 acres, 49% contained. Estimated containment: 08/28/2013. CIMT4 Opliger has assumed command as of 0600 today. Fire growth potential remains high due to heavy fuels and steep slopes up to 150 percent. Fire behavior continues to range from moderate to extreme. Within timber plantations, fire behavior has been moderate. Where topography and fuels align, fire behavior has been extreme. Terrain, heavy fuels, and remote access dictate the need for Type 1 Crews to achieve operational objectives. Contingency line construction requires equipment to support. Spike Camps are being used to reduce long travel times and increase productivity of existing resources. Smoke continues to be a significant and ongoing concern for the Sierra Foothills, Tahoe area, and Sacramento Valley. The Team continues to work with the Placer County Air Pollution Board regarding smoke effects to local communities.

CA-KNF Salmon River Complex: 14,171 acres, 85% contained.  Estimated containment: 08/19/2013. California IMT Team 1, McGowan. Creeping and smoldering in heavy dead and down fuels was observed overnight. Mop up, patrol, and hold handlines. Structure defense will continue around the community of Sawyers Bar, including daily sprinkler system maintenance and testing.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 16,776 acres, 25% contained. Quesinberry, NIMO. Estimated containment: 09/15/2013. Minimal fire activity was observed throughout the night. Approximately 1 mile of burning was completed. A strategic operations plan has been developed that identifies management action points and modeled fire behavior. Strategic operations plan report points to a long term fire event as the fire burns within indirect containment lines.

CA-SRF Corral Complex: 4,600 acres, 0% contained  Expected containment:  10/01/2013. Unified Command between IMT2 SOCAL 2 and Hoopa Valley Tribe. Snags, remote wilderness location, lack of resources.
