CA-TGU Deer Fire: 200 acres, 0% contained. Fire has crossed into the Deer Creek drainage. Continued threat to 500KV powerlines.

CA-TNF American Fire: 21,189 acres, 66% contained. Expected containment 9/1/2013. IMT 1 (Opliger). Fire continues to progress towards indirect dozer lines on the eastern and southern portions of the fire. Single and group tree torching, along with short crown runs, were observed along the area of Cavanah Ridge. Due to these unfavorable conditions, burning operations were halted on this portion of the fire. Mop up continues on the western and northern portions of the fire. Partial road closures remain in effect, but recreational opportunities remain open in French Meadows and adjacent recreational areas.

CA-SRF Corral Complex: 10,364 acres, 0% contained. Expected containment 10/1/2013. Unified Command (Joseph/Mendes). The spot fire on the north aspect of Tish Tang Point continues to back towards the Tish Tang Creek. The spot fire east of Tish Tang Point continued to burn, but had minimal spread. The fire is established on the south side of Horse Linto creek and is burning towards the ridge. The fire is within 1/4 mile of the eastern boundary of the Hoopa Reservation and within 2 miles of the Water Dog Lake area.

CA- PNF Hough Complex: 513 acres, 69% contained. Expected containment 8/24/2013. Complex consists of 22 fires, of which 20 are contained. Limited fire activity today with small upslope runs and interior burning. Firefighters continue to construct and strengthen handlines. Mop up and patrol continues on contained fires.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 20,596 acres, 39% contained. Expected containment 9/15/2013. NIMO (Quisenberry). A marine layer limited fire behavior during the morning hours. Once the layer receded, the fire became active moving along interior edges and interior islands. Firefighters continued to mopping up the spot fire and slopover south of Orleans Mountain. Burning operations were conducted in this area to secure a short portion of the line and close the gap. Firefighters continue monitor the fire as it moves towards indirect containment lines on the southern portion of the fire.

CA-KNF Salmon River Complex: 14,377 acres, 95% contained. Expected containment has been moved up to 8/25/2013.
