	08/23	0900	Rim Fire, CA-STF-2857, Tuolumne County, 105,620 acres  2% contained Southern Area Blue Team (Wilkins) is in Unified Command with CALFIRE (Lawshe).  The Rim incident continues to increase in size expanding by 51,828acres, The Southern Blue team transitioned at 0600 hrs today . Approximately 4500 structures are threatened on the Rim incident. Gobblers Fire, CA-BDF-11417, San Bernardino County 335 acres, 45% contained. Southern California Incident Management Team 1 (Walker) is in command. Fire behavior moderated throughout the night with only fingers and isolated areas of the fire being active. Stringers of continuous fuels continue to carry the fire while roll out is causing fire spread over the rocky scree slopes. Very low fuel moisture combining with heavy dead and down fuels and steep terrain continue to hamper containment efforts. Mission Fire: CA-FHL-002679, Monterey County, 4500 acres, 25% contained. Shirley Complex CA-SQF-3229, Kern County, 794 acres, 100% contained.  (Tenant Fire 411 acres, 100% contained. Shirley Fire 454 acres and 76% contained.)  Spring Peak NV-HTF-30475, Mineral County 14,200 acres 72% contained Type 3 Team (Brown) is in command of this incident. Increased sustained winds continued to cause flare ups within interior and perimeter; this resulted in breaches of containment lines into unburned fuels outside of the lined areas of the fire. Aspen Fire, CA-SNF-1732, Fresno County 22,791 acres and 95% contained
