Rim Fire, CA-STF-2857, Tuolumne County, FRA
63,366 acres, 1% contained
Central Sierra Type 2 Incident Management team (Cooper) is in Unified Command with CALFIRE. 
Fire has established itself in the Cherry Creek Drainage just west of North Mountain lookout.Fire has progressed to Quinn Ranch area and has burned up to the Woods Ridge. Eastward spread is along the south side of the Tuolumne River towards the community of Mather. Fire is expected to continue up the Tuolumne River canyon and continue its spread to the north and east.
Immediate threat to electrical power sources south of Tuolumne River, State Hwy 120, and north entrance of Yosemite. Structure defense for the community of Pine Mountain Lake, San Jose Camp and Spinning Wheel area. Firing operations were conducted around Camp Tawonga as the fire proceeded in the northwest spread.
Direct line suppression efforts are impeded due to difficult access, steep inaccessible terrain and extreme fire behavior.
Gobblers Fire, CA-BDF-11417, San Bernardino County
335 acres, 45% contained.
Southern California Incident Management Team 1 (Walker) assumed command of the incident.
Fire continues to roll out and make uphill runs. Burning in the North Fork of Lytle Creek, below Dawson Peak, above Stockton Flats and the Sheep Mountain Wilderness.
Threat to Mount Baldy Ski area, wilderness, watershed, and the community of Wrightwood.
Fire burned actively during the day finding stringers of continuous fuels and burning to ridge tops where it rolled out into long fingers.
Mission Fire: CA-FHL-002679, Monterey County, FRA New
2,500 acres, 25% contained.
Fire is spreading and continues to shift with weather patterns.
Fire made many rapid runs in north at an east facing aspect with multiple spotting.
Threat to private residence north at Pulman Canyon approx. 1 mile away on Avala Rd.
Evacuated radar site and military training areas off of Del Venturi Rd.
Shirley Complex CA-SQF-3229, Kern County, FRA
794 acres, 100% contained.  (Tenant Fire 411 acres, 100% contained. Shirley Fire 454 acres and 76% contained.) Due to more accurate mapping, total acreage has decreased/
California Inter-Agency Incident Management Team #3 (Pincha-Tulley) has scheduled transition to a Type 3 team (Bingham) at 1200 hrs on August 23, 2013.
Hwy 178 remains closed into Kern River Valley until Cal-Trans is able to re-open the road.
Crews mopped up and completed direct line on Shirley Fire and Tenant Fire.Spring Peak NV-HTF-30475, Mineral County
14,200 acres 68% contained
Type 3 Team (Brown) is in command of this incident.
BLM, Bishop Field Office, CALFIRE, and USFS supporting this incident with resources.
Fire West, Southwest, Southeast spread potential reduced as containment lines are being created.
Threat to high energy power transmission lines owned by LADWP. Critical communication tower for NDOT, NHP, Mineral County emergency and municipalities in the area.
Increased sustained winds continued to increase fire activity in the interior and perimeter areas resulting in breaches of containment lines into unburned fuels outside the lined areas of the fire.
Direct attack using ground crews and air resources.
Aspen Fire, CA-SNF-1732, Fresno County

Central Sierra Type 2 Incident Management team (Cooper) is in Unified Command with CALFIRE. 
Fire has established itself in the Cherry Creek Drainage just west of North Mountain lookout.
Fire operations have begun on Ferretti Rd. as the fire progresses west towards the community of Pine Mountain Lake.
Fire continues northwest spread and has burned past Grapevine Creek, continuing to burn north of Sugar Loaf Mountain Heli spot. Fire continues up Tuolumne River canyon and spread north and east.
Immediate threat to electrical power sources south of Tuolumne River, State Hwy 120, and north entrance of Yosemite.
Southeast Blue team will in-brief at 0900 and will start shadowing process for transition.
Gobblers Fire, CA-BDF-11417, San Bernardino County
192 acres, 45% contained.
Southern California Incident Management Team 1 (Walker) assumed command of the incident today.
Fire will continue to roll out and make uphill runs.
Fire remained active through the night spreading an additional 20-40 acre. Fire was pushed by strong down canyon winds with no natural barriers to check its spread.
Shirley Complex CA-SQF-3229, Kern County, FRA
895 acres, 78% contained.  (Tenant Fire 441 acres, 80% contained. Shirley Fire 454 acres and 76% contained.)
Type 1 team (Pincha-Tulley) is in command.
Team has been providing IA resources to the Kern River Ranger District with a plan to transition IA response at 0800.
Fire is smoldering and creeping.
Crews mopped up and constructed dire line when able in Shirley Fire. Tenant Fire was in patrol status. Shirley fire is being supported logistically in Kernville and Tenant fire in Porterville.
Highway 178 remains closed into Kern River valley. Alder Creek Rd and Campground and Evans Flat Campground are closed.
Voluntary evacuations in Shirley Meadows area have been lifted.
Spring Peak NV-HTF-30475, Mineral County
14,200 acres 68% contained
Type 3 Team (Brown) is in command of this incident.
BLM, Bishop Field Office, CALFIRE, and USFS supporting this incident with resources.
Fire West, Southwest, Southeast spread potential reduced as containment lines are being created.
Significant progress made in overall containment efforts due to added resources and favorable weather and precipitation.
Aspen Fire, CA-SNF-1732, Fresno County
22,791 acres and 95% contained
