Cooling and increased nighttime humidity recovery has moderated fire behavior. Crews observed minimal fire behavior activity mostly creeping and smoldering with most of the heat held in by numerous snags and large logs. Suppression repair continues along containment lines. CA-KNF Forks Complex: 37,202 acres, 68% contained. Expected containment 10/01/2013. Herald, ICT3.Crews last night saw minimal fire activity and low to moderate fire behavior backing down the hill. Crews will continue to monitor, hold and patrol containment lines in the Somes Mountain area where burnout operations took place. Fire activity will continue to be monitored in Nordheimer drainage. Suppression repair will be implemented where appropriate.
