High humidity including light mist in the morning continues to diminish fire behavior. CA-KNF Forks Complex: 37,227 acres, 70% contained. Expected containment 10/01/2013. Light burning was observed in the China Creek area yesterday and firefighters are monitoring the area through todays shift. Firefighters made excellent progress securing fire lines with good depth in the Northwest perimeter. Light initial attack reported in the GACC today. |

09/17/2013 | 0700 | CA-SRF Corral Complex: 12,503 acres, 89% contained. Expected containment 9/28/2013. Franklin, ICT3. Cooling and increased nighttime humidity recovery has moderated fire behavior and will continue to do so through today. Suppression repair continues along containment lines. CA-KNF Forks Complex: 37,227 acres, 68% contained. Expected containment 10/01/2013. Herald, ICT3. Crews last night saw minimal fire activity and low to moderate fire behavior backing down the hill. Crews will continue to monitor, hold and patrol containment lines in the Somes Mountain area where burnout operations took place. Fire activity will continue to be monitored in Nordheimer drainage. Suppression repair will be implemented where appropriate.
