1995: The Arroyo Pasajero flash flood washes out a bridge on Interstate 5.
Four vehicles drove into the raging creek waters `resulting in the deaths of 7 people.
Elsewhere across California, 7 other people were killed in storm-related deaths.
The Highway 41 bridge across the Salinas River in Atascadero was wrecked. 

1995: San Lorenzo River went seven feet over flood stage in Santa Cruz County flooding low areas for two days. 

1978: An F1 tornado touched down in the foothills northwest of Gustine (Madera Co.).

1974: The greatest daily rainfall amount on this day in Santa Ana is a surprising 0.12".

1939: 22" of snow fell at Truckee.

1935:
The low temperature at Markleeville (Alpine Co.) was -15°.
