THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN OXNARD HAS EXTENDED THE    * SPECIAL MARINE WARNING FOR...    INNER WATERS FROM POINT MUGU TO SAN MATEO PT. CA INCLUDING    DANA POINT AND NEWPORT BEACH...    * UNTIL 530 PM PST    * AT 435 PM PST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED    A STRONG THUNDERSTORM...PRODUCING WINDS GUSTS OF 40 KNOTS OR    GREATER...ABOUT 5 NM SOUTH OF NEWPORT BEACH...MOVING  NORTH    NORTHEAST AT 15 KNOTS. OTHER STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED    TO THE NORTHWEST AND SOUTH OF THIS STORM.    * THESE STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT THE COASTAL WATERS BETWEEN    HUNTINGTON BEACH AND DANA POINT THROUGH 530 PM PST. IN ADDITION    TO WIND GUSTS TO 45 KNOTS...HEAVY RAIN...SMALL HAIL...DANGEROUS    CLOUD TO WATER LIGHTNING AND ISOLATED WATERSPOUTS ARE EXPECTED    WITH THESE STORMS.      PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...    MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS...HIGH WAVES...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...  AND HEAVY RAINS. FOR THE FOLLOWING AREA...  COASTAL WATERS FROM SAN MATEO POINT TO THE MEXICAN BORDER AND OUT TO  30 NM OVER PACIFIC WATERS...  INCLUDING CORONADO...POINT LA JOLLA AND POINT LOMA...    AT 436 PM PST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO  INDICATE A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN AND GUSTY  WINDS TO 30 KT LOCATED 25 NM WEST OF LA JOLLA. THIS LINE WAS MOVING  EAST AT 15 KNOTS AND WILL MOVE ACROSS THE BEACHES THROUGH 530 PM.    LIGHTNING...SMALL HAIL AND WATERSPOUTS ARE ALL POSSIBLE WITH THIS  LINE OF STORMS.
