Congratulations to the JROTC marksmanship team on their performance this past weekend at the New Mexico Junior Olympics. The cadets had their best performance all year, taking first place in both the sporter and precision category. Precision team members included Darby Pruitt, Sam Elliott and Alejandro Grijalva. Sporter team members included Cameron Scholl, Marisa Lopez, Kenneth Bustos and Coral Spotted Eagle. Both teams have now qualified to compete in the National Junior Olympics this summer.
Attention all Juniors: It is time to sign up for PROM COURT. You may pick up an application in the activities office at lunch today. Applications are due by 2:30 Friday afternoon. All students must be classified as a junior and be a member of the graduating class of 2015, be involved in a minimum of 2 extracurricular activities/athletics and have a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Juniors will have a class meeting on Wednesday at lunch in Mrs. Martin's room.
All language students need to remember to make restaurant reservations for Thursday evening's "A Taste of the World" event today at the beginning of lunch. Refer to the flyer your teacher showed you for location information.
Attention all staff and student that signed up for the PING-PONG student/staff challenge this week. The bracket is posted on the north mezzanine doors next to the vending machines. Please report to the south mezzanine at 11:05 today to start the matches. The tournament will be double elimination.
National Honor Society: Our lunch meeting today will be in E214. We will be voting on our officers for next year and giving information on the induction ceremony. ONLY current members, Juniors and Seniors should attend this meeting. Sophomores who received an invitation to join NHS, remember to return your application before March 17.
STUDENTS: Do you have a friend? Are you a friend? Do you need a friend? What does friendship look like on our campus? Take a picture and enter it in the "That's Called Friendship!" photo contest. Entries will be displayed here on campus to remind all of us that NO HAWK STANDS ALONE. The winning photo will receive a prize to share with a friend. Submit your photo entry to the Activities Office by March 7th.
Do you want to be a student body officer next year? Sign-ups begin next Tuesday in the Activities Office. Stop by Tuesday at lunch to pick up your application. Students wishing to run must have a 2.5 GPA.

Do you need help applying to CNM? A representative will be on campus Tuesday, March 4, during lunch to help you complete the online application. Please sign up in the Career Center.
ATHLETICS:
G. Basketball: District 1-5A Runner Up - #5 Seed at State Tournament and Play Gadsden at VVHS on Friday, March 7.
B. Basketball : District 1-5A Champions - #4 Seed at State Tournament and Play West Mesa at VVHS on Saturday, March.
SOFTBALL has their first game on Wednesday against Manzano at 4. They also play at Albuquerque High on Friday at 4.
TENNIS will be in the APS singles tournament on Friday and Saturday at the Jerry Cline Courts
Baseball has a double header on Saturday against Piedra Vista. They play at noon and 2:30.
