It's pucker time.  Either they catch it now or the rains will, if it ever rains.  I'd  rather they get it now instead of burning Oregon down. ;-)

It's been 15% for days with over 2000 troops on scene and near vertical country (few dozers, all ground pounders and an air show).  Pretty to see, sucky to hike, lotsa old fuels. 

*Just* far enough inland to not have a marine influence except some winds.   Pretty lousy shot at extinguishment quickly (past fires in the area were managed seasonally; winter came).

Fire crews over the last 24 hours have been concentrating there efforts on holding the fire South of highway 96, if the fire jumps the highway there is nothing but thick forest of the Siskiyou Mountain Range to burn.
