This is a great line... For gardening that is.  It's polite name is fertilizer, more commonly known as bullsh..!

That's what a Type III does, "pump and roll"; the bread and butter for wild land firefighting.  Even 4WD isn't rare anymore.  My agency did that decades ago as one of the first all 4WD Strike Teams. 

I guess he HAD to say something to the reporter (I never saw the reason why) but it would have been better if his brain was engaged.

Concialdi said the fire engines can go off road and are able to drive and still pump out water.

"Most engines can't do that,'' he said. "We call it mobile pumping."
