Re: [californiadisasters] Highwater Incident - Wildfire - LACo. - Granada Hills

Answer:  Uniden BCD536HP scanner, comes with wifi adapter, to your computer, Bluetooth the audio to your ear.  Or use your iPhone and listen.  Usual wifi range (2.4 GHz only).

Great scanner but pricey.   I can listen on my LAN from a variety of devices.  I also have the portable version scanner with no wifi, $100 less.

You can easily program them and if connected to a GPS they self program for where you are.  Über cool.

Yeah.  What we *need* is remote earbud scanner feeds....main unit sits in your office and you just listen all day with one ear... :)___
