I'm watching a brace of flames cresting over the San Gabriel Mountains, from Santa Clarita to the San Fernando Valley. Where I am at, it is extremely windy right now and the temp is 87F at 11 pm. It's an October/November Santa Ana event in July, which I've never seen before in my four decades here. Oddly, the local news has said nothing about the wind event since it started at 7 pm.I just called my boss who lives in the NE Valley to check up on him. He said it is not that windy there. But they are packing up one car just in case. He already lost his house in the Sayre Fire of 2008.At any rate, this could get very bad if the winds pick up in the NE San Fernando Valley.Jason in Northridge
